Job summary

Optimum Communications Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech III to repair and maintain fiber and coaxial networks, including FTTH and RFOG architectures. You will support headend electronics, troubleshoot end-to-end from the headend to customer devices, and mentor junior technicians.

We value hands-on experience with FTTH networks, ISP collaboration, and strong troubleshooting skills. The role requires physical readiness and DOT/commercial licensing where applicable, with on-site work in Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet DOT/CDL requirements where applicable
• Ability to obtain current DOT medical card and valid CDL where applicable
• Qualified to obtain necessary state licenses for installing/servicing security services
• Ability to comprehend and operate testing equipment (signal level meters, ohm meters)
• Experience with FTTH/RFOG architecture and network distribution
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing fiber, transport, and distribution networks
• Experience with ISP collaboration and field deployment
• Proficiency with FTTH tools: AGORA, Netwin, Net-Q

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot transport networks from headend to customer devices
• Fulfills maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks; repairs and tests networks
• Build, troubleshoot, and repair FTTH & RFOG networks from headend to tap
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, ISP, NOC/ROC to resolve escalated issues
• Mentor and train junior technicians and participate in training material development
• Assist in field deployment and service calls as needed
