Job summary

GFiber is hiring a Senior Outside Plant (OSP) Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX. You will diagnose and repair GFiber's distribution network from central office to customer premises, focusing on installation and maintenance of the physical plant.

All candidate requirements include 5+ years experience in FTTH/GPON deployments, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work non-standard hours with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years FTTH/GPON network construction and/or fiber deployments
• 3+ years fiber splicing and OTDR testing
• Experience managing contractor/vendor relationships
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain GFiber outside plant (OSP) components
• Troubleshoot issues from central office to customer premises
• Coordinate with vendors and manage contractor relationships
• Provide exceptional customer service and effective communication
