Job summary

Optimum in the United States seeks a Maintenance Tech III to repair and maintain fiber and coaxial networks from headend to customer devices. You will troubleshoot, support headend electronics, and mentor junior technicians to exceed service expectations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and DOT medical card; fiber repair and FTTH/RFOG expertise are required, with collaboration across Design, Construction, ISP, and NOC teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical card and valid CDL where applicable.
• Experience with FTTH/RFOG architecture and fiber repair.
• Experience operating testing equipment (signal level meters, ohm meters).
• BDS & BTS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair transport, trunk, and distribution networks from headend to customer devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and FCC-required network tests.
• Coach and develop team members to enhance technical proficiency and customer service.
• Coordinate training initiatives for new and existing staff.
• Collaborate with Design, Construction, ISP, NOC/ROC to resolve escalated issues.
