Job summary

Dow Inc. in Freeport, Texas is seeking an Operations Performance Engineer to drive safe, reliable, and profitable manufacturing operations.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance and Technology to solve complex challenges, translate opportunities into sustainable actions, and improve asset performance. The role emphasizes improving throughput, product quality, raw material efficiency, and manufacturing costs while aligning with site objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred).
• 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work safely in a plant, use PPE, and handle physical demands ( incl. harnesses up to 300 lbs and respirator use).
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve asset performance by optimizing reliability, throughput, quality, material efficiency and costs.
• Drive production targets and business objectives via operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve operating discipline and performance.
• Provide troubleshooting and coaching during routine operations, upsets, and emergencies.
• Identify and close performance and reliability gaps; collaborate with Maintenance and Reliability teams.
