Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an Operations Performance Engineer to optimize asset reliability, throughput, and product quality at the Freeport, Texas facility. You will partner with operations, maintenance, and technology teams to drive performance and sustainable improvements.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and a data-driven approach to solving complex plant challenges, supporting capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work safely in a plant environment and pass PPE training; must be able to work in the United States legally with no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve asset performance by optimizing reliability, throughput, and product quality.
• Drive production targets and business objectives through operational excellence.
• Evaluate decisions for site and business impact and recommend actions.
• Provide troubleshooting, coaching, and support during normal operations and upsets.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Reliability teams to enhance asset availability.
• Ensure compliance with permits and process safety while maintaining field presence.
