Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Virginia Beach seeks a Sr. Operations Manager to lead Fulfillment Center operations, supervise Operations and Area Managers, and drive Lean improvements while developing leadership and ensuring safety and quality across inbound or outbound areas.

The role focuses on performance metrics, employee relations, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other senior operations managers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement and process optimization initiatives, including Lean methodologies.
• Responsible for overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operation, including safety, quality and customer experience
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback
