Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee budget, people development, and site objectives at the Fulfillment Center.

You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to meet performance goals while fostering positive employee relations and leadership growth. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, balancing operational excellence with team development across all FC areas to drive results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
• 7+ years direct management experience, in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics and Lean techniques.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of quality improvement and process optimization initiatives, including Lean methodologies.
• Responsible for overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operation, including safety, quality and customer experience.
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Operations Managers accountable.
• Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
• Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
• Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
