Job summary

Accenture seeks a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own ontology design, governance, and delivery across enterprise knowledge graphs. You will shape semantic modeling strategies and lead a cross-functional team spanning business, data engineering, and AI/ML disciplines.

You will drive ontology lifecycle, tooling selection, and standards while aligning with regulatory and enterprise governance policies, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ years hands-on ontology engineering and knowledge modeling.
• Experience owning production‑grade ontologies in enterprise environments, including governance and rollout.
• Lead, mentor, and communicate with business and technical stakeholders across delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ontology lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and stewardship.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture: modular design, URI strategy, versioning, and upper ontology alignment.
• Establish governance standards, review processes, and documentation templates; ensure quality gates.
• Lead business SME workshops to elicit concepts and relationships, and resolve ambiguity.
• Collaborate with NLP/AI teams to integrate ontology-guided pipelines and feature engineering.
