Job summary

Accenture seeks a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own ontology strategy, architecture, and governance across enterprise knowledge graphs. You will guide semantic modeling, tooling decisions, and cross-functional collaboration with data engineering and AI/ML teams.

You will lead a team of ontologists, drive standards, and mentor delivery across multiple streams, with travel to client locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in ontology engineering or related semantic discipline.
• Experience owning production-grade ontologies in enterprise environments including Agile delivery.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end ontology lifecycle from requirements to stewardship.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture and URI/versioning strategy.
• Lead alignment between domain ontologies and enterprise assets.
• Manage governance standards, change processes, and quality gates.
• Lead SME workshops and represent semantic modeling in governance forums.
• Guide NLP/AI integration with ontology-informed methods.
