Job summary

Accenture seeks a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph initiatives. You will drive semantic modeling strategy and ontology governance while guiding a cross-functional team of business stakeholders, data engineering, and AI/ML specialists.

You will define enterprise ontology architecture, establish patterns, and oversee tooling, validation, and integration with downstream AI/ML systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering or a closely related semantic field.
• 12 years owning production-grade ontologies in enterprise or large-scale consulting with Agile delivery.
• 12 years in lead/architect roles with standards, team development, and roadmap ownership.
• Bachelor's or Master’s in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment and governance.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture and URI strategy, versioning, and alignment with upper ontologies.
• Lead alignment between domain ontologies and enterprise semantic assets.
• Oversee knowledge graph hydration, testing, and validation pipelines.
• Lead stakeholder workshops and translate modeling decisions for non-technical audiences.
• Mentor ontologists and manage delivery timelines across workstreams.
