Job summary

Accenture seeks a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own ontology design, governance, and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph initiatives. You will drive semantic modeling strategy and governance frameworks across business stakeholders, data engineering, and AI/ML teams.

The role guides technical direction, tooling selection, and alignment of ontologies with enterprise data governance policies, while mentoring a team of ontologists and semantic analysts to maturity.

Qualifications

• 12+ years hands-on experience in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or related semantic web discipline.
• Experience owning and delivering production-grade domain ontologies in enterprise environments.
• Lead, mentor, and own governance and roadmap for ontology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own end-to-end ontology lifecycle including requirements, modeling, validation, deployment, and stewardship.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture and URI/versioning strategies.
• Oversee ontology design, development, and production-quality standards (OWL/RDF/RDFS/SKOS).
• Lead cross-functional alignment between domain ontologies and enterprise semantic assets.
• Drive governance, change management, and documentation across teams.
