Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Lead Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a $5-$50M project. The role is on the job site every day and plays a key part on the project team.

Ideal candidate has 7–12 years of leadership experience in large commercial/industrial Construction, OSHA 30-hour, and strong safety and scheduling skills. The position includes extensive on-site leadership and coordination with trade contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 7–12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project valued at $30M+ on commercial/industrial construction.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• STS-C Certification preferred, First Aid/CPR/AED training advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work aligns with the project schedule.
• Develops and communicates the field work plan for changes.
• Maintains contract-document understanding to anticipate problems.
• Obtains necessary permits for construction by subcontractors.
• Leads safety initiatives and enforces safety compliance across trades.
• Leads contractor meetings and maintains daily project records.
