Job summary

Gilbane Building in Wisconsin is seeking a Lead Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a $5–$50M project. The role is on-site daily and critical to delivering safely, on-time, and within budget.

The successful candidate will bring 7–12 years of experience leading large commercial/industrial projects, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, and be OSHA 30-certified and STS-C certified, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 7–12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project for a value of $30 million+ on commercial/industrial construction.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the project schedule.
• Develops and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Monitors safety compliance and serves as primary safety representative in the field.
• Leads contractor meetings and manages daily field reports and scheduling.
