Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Lead Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a $5–$50M project. The role is on-site daily and central to the project team, with opportunities for growth in a Top-10 ENR Contractor environment.

You will oversee safety, scheduling, coordination with trades, and drive excellence in construction execution, partnering with the operations team to deliver on-time results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 7–12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project valued at $30M+ on commercial/industrial construction.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet the project schedule.
• Develops and communicates the on-site work plan and changes.
• Maintains contracts and proactively anticipates problems.
• Obtains permits for construction by subcontractors.
• Leads safety compliance and conducts regular contractor meetings.
• Maintains project schedules, reports, and contingencies.
