Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Lead Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a $5-$50M project. This on-site role will be present on the job site daily and will play a key role on the project team.

You will direct trade contractors, enforce safety, and coordinate with the project team to deliver high-quality results. The position offers growth opportunities within Gilbane and access to Gilbane University trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 7–12 years of leadership on a $30M+ project.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed training.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the schedule.
• Develops and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Obtains necessary permits for construction.
• Establishes credibility with owners and trade partners.
• Acts as primary safety representative in the field.
• Leads contractor meetings on a regular basis.
• Maintains daily reports and project documentation.
• Creates and updates the project schedule; implements contingencies.
• Plans and coordinates jobsite logistics.
• Develops the QIC plan with Operations Excellence; oversees changes.
• Trains field engineers and superintendents.
• Supports scoping and buyout; assists in T&M tracking.
• Leads daily huddles and pre-task reviews.
• Assists in financial forecasting.
• Collaborates with business development for client delivery.
