Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Superintendent to independently supervise trade contractors on projects up to $30M. This on-site role is central to the project team and daily field leadership.

You will drive safety, schedule, quality, and collaboration with owners and subcontractors. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 4–8 years on large commercial/industrial projects are preferred; OSHA 30, STS-C, and First Aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4–8 years of experience on $15–$30 million or larger commercial/industrial construction projects in a superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subcontractors to meet the project schedule.
• Develops and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Leads contractor meetings and manages daily field reports and schedules.
• Plans, coordinates and manages jobsite logistics and quality inspections.
