Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Manager in the Industry Specialty Services Group to provide senior financial management services to nonprofit organizations and funders, supporting both local and virtual engagements. The role requires nonprofit accounting expertise, strong communication, and a consulting mindset.

You will oversee month-end close, budgeting, grant compliance, and financial system implementations while guiding leadership teams and Boards. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) or more years of demonstrated accounting experience with a specific focus on nonprofits, required

Responsibilities

• Provide senior level financial management services to nonprofits undergoing organizational or leadership change
• Support month-end close, audits, budgeting, cash flow planning and financial system implementations
• Present financial analysis to leadership and boards in clear, accessible terms
• Assist in complying with nonprofit financial reporting standards and regulatory changes
• Lead and coach consultants, ensuring project management and quality assurance
