Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Manager in the Industry Specialty Services Group to deliver professional nonprofit accounting services, supporting nonprofit organizations and the funders that back them, both locally and virtually.

The role sits within a growth-oriented practice dedicated to building nonprofit capacity, partnering with clients to achieve operational excellence, financial sustainability and impactful outcomes through collaborative engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, required.
• MBA or MPA preferred.
• Seven or more years nonprofit accounting experience.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting principles.
• Supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior level financial management for nonprofits undergoing change.
• Support budgeting, month-end close, audit support, and financial systems implementation.
• Present financial analysis to boards and leadership with clear, accessible communication.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit reporting standards.
• Oversee grant accounting and compliance reporting.
• Lead client relationships and staff training.
