Job summary

BDO USA in the United States is seeking a Manager in the Industry Specialty Services Group to deliver nonprofit financial management and change-management services for clients locally and virtually. You will leverage nonprofit expertise to support organizations and funders with operational and financial sustainability.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) or more years of demonstrated accounting experience with a specific focus on nonprofits, required.
• Experience with accounting systems and nonprofit accounting principles, required.
• Supervisory/management experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key team member in the transitional services practice area, providing senior level financial management services to nonprofits undergoing organizational or leadership change.
• Performs and/or oversees month-end close, audit support, budget development, cash flow planning, and financial system implementation.
• Support leadership teams and Boards in making financial decisions by presenting analyses and communicating complex financial information to diverse audiences.
• Assist in complying with new nonprofit financial reporting and disclosure standards.
• Conduct fiscal and operational infrastructure assessments and provide insights into financial sustainability.
