Job summary

BDO USA, P.A. seeks a Manager for the Industry Specialty Services Group to provide senior-level financial management for nonprofit clients, helping them achieve operational excellence and financial sustainability.

The role partners with foundations and funders, directing month-end close, audits, budgets, and financial system implementations while leading change across engagements. Occasional travel required across the U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance required.
MBA or MPA preferred.
Seven (7)+ years nonprofit accounting experience required.
Experience with accounting systems and nonprofit accounting principles required.
Supervisory/management experience required.

Responsibilities

Provide senior level financial management to nonprofits during engagements.
Oversee month-end close, audit support, budget development, cash flow planning, and financial system implementation.
Present analyses to leadership and boards for complex financial decisions.
Assess compliance with nonprofit reporting standards and regulatory changes.
Manage grant compliance including billing, budgeting, and reporting with private, federal, state agencies.
Lead process improvements to ensure best accounting practices and efficiency.
