Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Manager in the Industry Specialty Services Group to deliver high‑impact financial management for nonprofit clients and their funders. The role combines mission‑driven accounting with strategic advisory services, serving clients locally and virtually.

You will guide transitional engagements, supervise consultants, and help organizations achieve operational excellence and financial sustainability through rigorous analysis, governance support, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of nonprofit accounting experience
• Experience with nonprofit accounting principles
• Supervisory/management experience
• CPA preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide senior level financial management services to nonprofits undergoing change
• Oversee month-end close, audit support, budgets, cash flow, and financial system implementations
• Present financial analyses to leadership and boards in accessible language
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial reporting standards
• Conduct financial sustainability assessments and improve processes
