Job summary

AbbVie's Publications leadership position oversees cross-functional teams to execute strategic publication plans for assigned assets. You will manage manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations, ensuring high quality and timely delivery to meet scientific objectives.

You will guide internal medical writers and external vendors, align resources with budgets, and provide coaching to staff while maintaining publication records across therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 4–5 years of medical/scientific publications experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership能力 and team management skills.
• Ability to interpret medical data and communicate clearly.
• Knowledge of clinical publication structure and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assets and execute publication plans.
• Oversee tactical publication execution: manuscripts, abstracts, posters, talks.
• Ensure quality and alignment with platforms and communications.
• Partner to align strategic publication plans with budgets and resources.
• Direct internal and external writers and vendors to deliver high-quality work.
• Provide performance feedback, training, and staff development.
• Maintain accurate publication records and tracking tools.
