AbbVie seeks an experienced Lead Publications Manager to guide cross-functional teams in executing strategic publication plans for assets in immunology, oncology, and neuroscience. You will oversee manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations to align with global publication strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; PhD/PharmD/Master’s preferred; CMPP/AMWA a plus.
• 4–5 years of medical/scientific publications experience; pharma industry or medical communications background required.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Ability to understand and interpret medical data.
• Knowledge of product therapeutic area; familiarity with statistics helpful.
• Knowledge of clinical/scientific publication structure and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior audiences.
• Collaborative teamwork and cross-functional leadership.
• Ability to form and lead cross-functional teams; resolve issues.
• Microsoft Office and internet navigation proficiencies essential.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the leader of cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assigned assets.
• Lead tactical execution of publication plans (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations).
• Review all publications in assigned TA for quality and alignment with platforms and policies.
• Partner with the Scientific Communications Director to transfer strategic plans to publication plans.
• Partner with Publications Director to manage outsourcing budget and internal resources.
• Provide managerial oversight to internal/external writers; ensure quality and timely work.
• Provide direction to external vendors to complete publication projects on time.
• Ensure performance assessments for direct reports; train and retain staff.
• Address and resolve publications-related issues; keep publication records accurate.
