Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer - Network to join our global team. You will partner with software development, operations, and network teams to design reliable, scalable infrastructure powering Akamai Connected Cloud services.

You will define requirements, build automation pipelines, set SLOs, and mentor engineers, while improving code quality and architecture. A strong background in Linux networking, config mgmt, and CI/CD is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years in SRE/Network reliability roles.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficient with configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing devices.
• Coding/scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github Actions, ArgoCD).

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and usability of network infrastructure.
• Define requirements to influence designs and standards.
• Develop automation pipelines for development, testing, and deployment.
• Define SLOs for Akamai Connected Cloud services.
• Mentor team members and drive code quality and architecture.
• Collaborate with Dev and QA teams to improve solutions.
