Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer - Network to lead reliability across our global network and platform. You will collaborate with software, operations, and network teams to set standards and drive scalable, automated solutions.

You will define SLOs, build automation for CI/CD, and mentor engineers to maintain high code quality and robust architectures across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE/Network roles.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency with configuration management tools.
• Experience with Linux networking and FRR/Bird/goBGP.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and routing devices.

Responsibilities

• Partner across teams to ensure reliability, scalability and usability of our network infrastructure, products, and services.
• Define requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence new designs and standards.
• Develop automation pipelines to support development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Define SLOs for network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Work with Dev and Quality Assurance teams to create more robust solutions, code improvement and stability.
• Mentor team members and drive code quality standards.
