Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Manager, Network Planning to lead enterprise-scale capacity, investment, and deployment planning across networks. You will translate business demand and technology strategy into prioritized plans with clear milestones.

You will manage cross-functional teams, partner with Finance and Engineering, and communicate risks and options to senior leadership while delivering measurable results for a broad set of technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Data Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of formal people leadership experience and managing cross-functional portfolios.
• Demonstrated financial acumen in capital planning, forecasting, and variance management.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Network Planning & Portfolio Leadership: set priorities and operating plans for capacity, modernization, and growth.
• Capital Governance & Business Outcomes: lead investment proposals with clear scope and financial impact.
• Operational Execution, Risk & Delivery: translate plans into executable projects with ownership and risk mitigation.
• Data, Automation & Decision Intelligence: drive data quality, dashboards, and automated reporting for visibility.
• Executive Communication & Cross-Functional Influence: present recommendations to senior leadership and align stakeholders.
• People Leadership & Organizational Capability: develop managers and analysts and build a high-performing team.
