Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, modernize, and sustain enterprise LAN/WAN networks for a DoD environment with positions at Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM.

The role focuses on Cisco routing/switching, Palo Alto firewalls, and secure remote access VPNs, with RMF/STIG compliance and collaboration with cybersecurity teams to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
• Active CCNA certification.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DDI, NAT, VLANs, QoS, OSPF, MPLS, SASE.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN and WAN infrastructure.
• Engineer and support Cisco routing and switching environments for mission-critical networks.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing, VPNs, and WAN technologies (MPLS, VPN, Internet).
• Configure, administer, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls and GlobalProtect.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to meet RMF and STIG requirements.
• Troubleshoot and monitor network health in high-availability environments.
• Participate in network modernization and upgrade efforts.
