Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to architect, implement, and sustain complex DoD/IC networks across LAN, CAN, WAN, and telecom systems. The role emphasizes secure, high-performance networking, design improvements, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet mission requirements.

The position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph, DoD 8570.01-IAT Level I, and a willingness for rotational on-call duties, with remote work predominating and occasional on-site support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline with 12+ years of experience (or 16+ years without a degree).
• IAT Level I certification per DoD 8570.01-M.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Willingness for rotational on-call schedule (approx. every 4–6 weeks) with on-call compensation.
• Primarily remote on-call support; occasional on-site work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
• Design, configure, deploy, test, and maintain network devices across LAN, CAN, WAN, and telecom systems.
• Implement network solutions supporting server and mission requirements (VPNs, firewalls, NAT, QoS, IP encryption).
• Contribute to network and mission architecture to support evolving requirements.
• Resolve complex issues using advanced diagnostic tools and simulators.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, and accreditation artifacts per DoD/IC standards.
