Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Network & Systems Engineer to provide advanced engineering, strategic analysis, and operational oversight for a large DoD contract at Fort Belvoir, VA.

The role supports enterprise IT services across classified networks, including design, deployment, and modernization efforts. You will act as primary technical authority, monitor global networks with DoD-approved tools, and lead incident response and escalation.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a relevant field with 6–12 years of enterprise systems experience.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls) and virtualization.
• Experience administering SolarWinds, Active Directory, and ITSM frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems analysis and architecture work with leadership and partners.
• Document and modify network/server configurations to meet security baselines.
• Lead 24x7 NOSC operations and serve as escalation authority for outages.
• Contribute to incident response, workflow improvements, and SLAs with ServiceNow.
• Prepare executive briefings and After-Action Reports for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Mission Partners, DISA, and Combatant Commands on status and impact.
• Monitor networks using DoD-approved tools and enforce procedures.
