Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure in a DoD environment. You will configure Cisco routing/switching, manage Palo Alto firewalls and GlobalProtect VPNs for secure, mission-critical networks.

Qualified candidates have 8+ years of experience, TS/SCI clearance, CCNA, and DoD RMF/STIG experience, with strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF, VPNs, and SD-WAN. Fort Belvoir or Albuquerque location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or equivalent).
• Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Active TS/SCI clearance at time of hire.
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DDI, NAT, VLANs, QoS, OSPF, MPLS, SASE.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto networks firewalls, GlobalProtect, and VPNs.
• Experience with DoD RMF/STIGs and modern network security practices.
• Experience with SD-WAN architectures and network automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN and WAN infrastructure.
• Engineer and support Cisco routing and switching environments for mission-critical networks.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise routing and switching technologies (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP).
• Support WAN connectivity using MPLS, VPN, and Internet-based transport.
• Configure Palo Alto firewalls and GlobalProtect remote access.
• Monitor network health, analyze performance, and perform advanced troubleshooting from Layer 1–7.
• Develop and maintain engineering docs, diagrams, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to meet RMF and STIG requirements.
