Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in the Intelligence Sector to design, implement, and sustain complex enterprise and mission networks across LAN, CAN, WAN, and telecom environments. You will translate mission needs into secure, high-performing network solutions and collaborate with operations, program management, and engineering teams to ensure reliability in DoD/IC contexts.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, plus active TS/SCI with Poly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline and twelve (12) years of experience providing network engineering support (additional 4 years if no bachelor’s degree).
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I certification per DoD 8570.01-M.
• Active experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving advanced network performance and integration issues.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Rotational on-call schedule with guaranteed on-call compensation.
• Primarily remote on-call support with rare on-site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
• Design, integrate, configure, deploy, test, maintain, and enhance network devices and infrastructure across LAN, CAN, WAN, and telecom systems.
• Implement network solutions including load balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, traffic shaping, VoIP, GRE, IPSec, IP encryption, MoIP, and NAT.
• Contribute to network/mission architecture design to support evolving requirements.
• Resolve complex network issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Maintain system documentation, diagrams, and accreditation artifacts in line with ISO 9000 and DoD/IC standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment, integrations, and cutovers.
