Job summary
Leidos seeks a Senior Network Engineer to support design, implementation, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise network infrastructure in a DoD environment at Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, New Mexico. You will design and operate LAN/WAN, secure networks, and mission-critical operations to enable trusted government communications.
The ideal candidate has extensive Cisco and Palo Alto expertise, hands-on routing/switching experience (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP), and VPN
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or equivalent).
- Active CCNA certification and TS/SCI clearance at time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN and WAN infrastructure.
- Engineer and support Cisco routing and switching environments for mission-critical networks.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise routing and switching technologies (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP).
- Support WAN connectivity using MPLS, VPN, and Internet-based transport.
- Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and GlobalProtect VPN solutions.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure RMF and STIG compliance; maintain docs.
