Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to lead high‑assurance network designs for DoD/IC missions. You will optimize LAN/CAN/WAN architectures, implement secure, scalable solutions, and guide colleagues across engineering and program management.

Expected to hold TS/SCI with Polygraph, IAT Level I, and 15+ years of experience in network engineering or 17+ with a Bachelors; remote/on‑call support with occasional on‑site work, and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline with 15+ or 17+ years of network engineering experience respectively.
• IAT Level I certification per DoD 8570.01-M.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex DoD/IC networks.

Responsibilities

• Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow, minimizing latency and maximizing throughput.
• Design, integrate, configure, deploy, test, maintain, and enhance network devices across LAN, CAN, WAN.
• Implement network solutions including VPNs, firewalls, NAT, QoS, and encryption.
• Contribute to mission-architecture improvements for evolving partner needs.
• Resolve complex issues with advanced diagnostic tools and simulators.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, and accreditation artifacts per DoD/IC standards.
• Collaborate with teams on integrations, conversions, and cutovers.
