Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to drive modernization of legacy applications into cloud-native services on AWS. You will lead design, development, and delivery of .NET services, while mentoring offshore teams and ensuring quality, security, and reliable deployments.

You will work with AWS leads, architects, QA, product owners, and offshore developers to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying microservices or distributed applications.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T-SQL development.
• Hands-on experience migrating business logic from stored procedures into application services.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specifications, OAuth 2.0, and JWT-based security models.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, SQS/SNS/EventBridge).
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks (unit/integration/API tests).
• Demonstrated leadership mentoring offshore development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs for cloud-native migrations on AWS.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and acceptance criteria for customer features.
• Mentor offshore teams, remove blockers, and report progress to leadership.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by moving business logic to scalable C# services with automated tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure, compliant deployments.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code quality and security.
