Job summary

Serco is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a PORTS program in Middletown, Rhode Island. You will lead in delivering simulation-based training systems for the US Surface Navy, coordinating among the Program Manager, customer, and project team to ensure on-time, high-quality results.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility, a solid background in software development projects, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive performance and proposal activities.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Experience with software development projects and MS Office.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; review work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare DoD-compliant data items.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
