Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts in Middletown, Rhode Island.

You will coordinate with the Program Manager, Navy customers, and project teams to deliver simulation-based training systems for the US Surface Navy, meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives. The role requires a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and at least 5 years of management experience including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Familiarity with software development projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
