Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager in Middletown, Rhode Island to support the Navy PORTS program, delivering simulation-based training systems for naval operations. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure quality and schedules while coordinating with customers and program leadership.

The role requires 5+ years of management experience, DoD clearance eligibility, and strong MS Office proficiency, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Be familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
