Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager in Middletown, Rhode Island, to lead PORTS program initiatives for Navy training systems. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customers, and teams to deliver high-quality simulation-based training devices and support equipment.

The role requires a US citizenship with ability to obtain DoD clearance, 5+ years of management experience, and familiarity with software development projects. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Be familiar with software development projects.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
