Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts supporting Navy training systems. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customer, and project team to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of complex simulation-based training devices.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, a 5+ year management background, and a strong grasp of software development projects. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiarity with software development projects.
• Experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status, budgets, schedules, and deliverables; prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items per DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Develop resolutions for issues to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
