Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability of the Network as a Service platform in a fully remote role within the United States. You will partner with operations and development to drive direction, resolve systemic issues, and automate deployment and incident response with AI-assisted tooling.

You’ll apply SRE principles, build observability dashboards, run on-call rotations, mentor juniors, and collaborate across teams to scale NaaS while maintaining security,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, CS, or related field.
• 8+ years in software development, systems engineering, or networking.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong automation and IaC skills: Terraform, Ansible, Python.
• Experience running containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
• Familiar with observability tools: Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus.
• Incidents management and blameless postmortems experience.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development and agentic tools.

Responsibilities
