Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to develop and implement procurement strategies across multiple categories, aligning with project cost, quality, and schedule goals.

You will lead subject matter experts, drive process improvements, and deliver added value throughout the procurement lifecycle from estimate to contract close-out. The role focuses on achieving best cost while driving efficiency, with opportunities to influence major projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years’ experience in procurement, contract management, project management or related role.
• Expertise in procurement, estimating, business, and leadership.
• Demonstrated experience developing procurement category strategies.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts with vendors.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience creating project management plans that specify charter, scope, cost estimates, schedule, milestones and target dates, and risk management plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, driven to succeed, strong critical thinker, and able to think and communicate in terms of process flow

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy to achieve financial value-add and improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Assess work streams and activities for consolidation opportunities and best practices.
• Monitor global supply market for pricing, trends, supplier capacity and industry news.
• Pursue Category Management strategy to secure Rosendin’s competitive advantage.
• Develop metrics to monitor areas of responsibility and KPI benchmarks for suppliers.
• Challenge current procurement, estimating, and cost-tracking practices to improve results.
• Develop innovative solutions to resolve complex issues and manage organizational change.
• Build networks inside and outside the organization to support procurement.
• Ensure category strategies adapt to changing market conditions.
• Negotiate master agreements with key suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis and set benchmarks for vendors against projects.
• Maintain a safety-conscious work environment following Edison safety protocols.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
• Contribute to Rosendin’s pay-for-performance and equity programs.
