Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager to develop category strategies and drive value across projects in the United States. You will lead subject matter experts, optimize the procurement process from estimate to contract close-out, and deliver best-cost outcomes.

You will build cross-functional networks, monitor market trends, and negotiate Master Agreements with key suppliers while implementing KPIs and change-management strategies.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years’ experience in a procurement, contract management, project management or related role
• Expertise in procurement, estimating, business, and leadership
• Demonstrated experience developing procurement category strategies
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts with vendors
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated experience creating project management plans that specify charter, scope, cost estimates, schedule, milestones and risk management plans
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated, driven to succeed, strong critical thinker

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy to achieve financial value-add and improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Assess work streams and activities for consolidation opportunities
• Closely monitor the global supply market for pricing trends and supplier activity
• Pursue defined Category Management (CM) strategy for competitive advantage
• Develop and implement metrics to monitor KPIs and identify gaps
• Challenge procurement, estimating, and cost-tracking practices to improve results
• Develop innovative solutions and lead change management initiatives
• Build wide networks inside and outside the organization
• Negotiate Master Agreements with key suppliers
• Perform cost analysis and set benchmarks for suppliers and commodities
• Maintain safety-conscious work environment following Edison safety protocols
