Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to lead strategy and cost optimization across multiple categories aligned with project objectives.

You will guide teams of SMEs to implement new or enhanced processes, driving best cost and efficiency from estimate through contract close-out. The role emphasizes supplier relations, metrics, and strategic landscape analysis, with a focus on best practices and value creation.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years' experience in procurement, contract management, project management or related role.
• Expertise in procurement, estimating, business, and leadership.
• Demonstrated experience developing procurement category strategies.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts with vendors.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience creating project management plans that specify charter, scope, cost estimates, schedule, milestones and target dates, and risk management plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, driven to succeed, strong critical thinker, and able to think and communicate in terms of process flow.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy to achieve financial value-add and improve Total Cost of Ownership.
• Assess work streams and activities for consolidation opportunities and best practices.
• Monitor global supply market for pricing trends, supplier capacity and new products.
• Aggressively pursue Category Management strategy to gain competitive advantage.
• Develop and implement metrics to monitor area of responsibility and KPIs.
• Challenge procurement, estimating, and cost tracking practices to drive better results.
• Create innovative solutions and drive organizational readiness change management.
• Build networks of contacts inside and outside the organization.
• Negotiate Master Agreements with key suppliers.
• Maintain safety-conscious environment and follow established safety protocols.
