Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Procurement Category Manager to lead category strategy development and implementation across projects nationwide.

You will guide cross-functional teams to deliver best-cost procurement, drive process improvements, and negotiate Master Agreements with strategic suppliers. Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years of procurement/contract management experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years’ experience in a procurement, contract management, project management or related role.
• Expertise in procurement, estimating, business, and leadership.
• Demonstrated experience developing procurement category strategies.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts with vendors.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience creating project management plans that specify charter, scope, cost estimates, schedule, milestones and target dates, and risk management plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, driven to succeed, strong critical thinker, and able to think and communicate in terms of process flow

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy to achieve financial value-add and improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Assess work streams and activities for consolidation opportunities and best-practice processes.
• Monitor global supply market trends, pricing, supplier capacity, and new product developments.
• Negotiate Master Agreements with key suppliers and drive savings.
• Develop and implement metrics to monitor area of responsibility and KPIs.
• Challenge current procurement, estimating, and cost-tracking practices to improve results.
• Create innovative solutions to resolve complex issues and manage organizational readiness changes.
• Build wide networks of contacts inside and outside the organization.
• Ensure strategies evolve with market conditions and project needs.
• Maintain safe work environment following site protocols and company policies.
