Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to replace a resigning employee and maintain accurate and timely payroll for a large workforce across multiple states.

The role requires 3–5 years of payroll experience, multi-state processing, and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will handle inquiries, ensure policy compliance, and protect confidential data while supporting a busy payroll team.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• 3–5 years payroll or related finance, accounting, or related field experience required.
• 3+ years multi-state payroll processing required.
• FPC and/or CPP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inputs data to computerized payroll systems to prepare weekly and semi-monthly payroll, updating earnings/deductions and running pre-payroll audit reports.
• Completes payroll processing activities: computes wages and overtime, records deductions, and processes off-cycle payments; handles overpayments.
• Answers complex payroll questions from employees and management via email and phone; ensures policy compliance.
• Audits earnings/deductions totals, reviews system output, and prepares special reports for management as needed.
• Performs standard admin tasks: phones, reports, records, and case management tracking.
• Audits and processes payroll information submitted by field for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee and company data.
