Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics in a mobile/field environment. You will handle repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks, document activities via the TRAIT app, and work with a service truck and inventory.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in related field, 3+ years with refrigerated equipment, and tools on hand. DOT compliance and ASE-oriented certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience; or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess and provide a set of hand tools.
• DOT regulations experience and passing DOT pre-employment checks.
• ASE certifications or ability to obtain within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose, repair, and test electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and document work order details.
