Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light and advanced repairs, and diagnostics in a mobile/field environment. You will be relied upon for advanced diagnostics and triage, and may serve as lead on jobsites.

The role requires a high school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or more). Experience with refrigerated equipment, own hand tools, and DOT/FMCSA compliance is required, with a valid DOT medical card and

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required, with 3 years of related field experience; other combinations possible.
At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
Must possess and supply your own hand tools.
OEM training and certifications are preferred.
Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine/transmission systems.
Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
Manage parts inventory and service truck supplies and documentation.
Document work and upload RO with photos using iOS device and TRAIT app.
Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
