Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting.

Lead on jobsites, diagnose complex issues, and document work using TRAIT app while coordinating parts and safety checks. The role requires ASE/T8 and 608/609 within 18 months, DOT background screening, and a valid DOT medical card or equivalent.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 5 years related field experience; alternative combos allowed.
• ASE T8 (PMI) and 608/609 certifications within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on mobile fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Test, road test, and document findings using iOS TRAIT app and RO forms.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Maintain safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections.
