Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to join our on-site team and perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced trailer repairs at customer sites.

You will lead on jobsites, manage parts and documentation via the TRAIT app on iOS, and uphold safety and regulatory compliance. A HS diploma and 5 years of field experience are required; ASE certs within 18 months are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with related field experience or equivalent.
• Must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) and 608/609 within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on trailers in mobile/field setting.
• Lead on jobsites; diagnose and triage complex repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck operations.
• Document work orders with photos via TRAIT on iOS.
• Ensure safety, OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance and quality standards.
