Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair and triage complex issues on light to heavy-duty trucks, while coordinating with customers and colleagues.

You will manage parts inventory, document findings on RO using iOS/TR AIT app, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 years' related field experience or 5 years' related field experience considered.
• At least 3 years’ experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Valid Driver's License and age 21+ required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light–heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation after repairs.
• Maintain and reconcile parts inventory on service truck and upload RO findings.
